How to schedule

  • Select “make an appointment” on this web page. You will be directed to a scheduling page.

  • When registering for a TeleCARE visit, you will be asked for your contact information, insurance, and pharmacy information, and if you require a language interpreter for the visit.

  • You will follow steps to check the connection to your device that will be used for the visit and will receive an appointment confirmation.

  • Once your appointment is scheduled, you will receive an email confirming the time and inviting you to register you for the eClinical Works Patient Portal. The web based eClinical Works Patient Portal is where all discharge information and test results will be located after a visit.

  • When it is time to enter the TeleCARE visit you will receive a text from your Brown EM physician inviting you to join the visit by smartphone or computer.

  • During the visit your physician will confirm your contact information in case you are disconnected or there is an emergency. They will also instruct you on how to proceed to complete a successful visit.

  • After your TeleCARE visit you will receive an email, text message or phone call when results are published to the patient portal for your review.

WARNING: Please do not use this service to access life threatening emergency care. Depending on the nature and severity of your medical condition, you may need to be seen in-person at your closest hospital emergency department If this is a medical emergency, call 911.
